Two of the most famous sets of musical Mormons will join together for a special concert this summer. The Osmond family – including the Osmond Brothers, Donny, Marie and Jimmy – will be featured in a Pioneer Day Concert of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at Salt Lake City’s Temple Square.

“The members of this wonderful musical family are true pioneers, not only as Latter-day Saints in the entertainment business but also as landmark recording and performing artists, and so they are a great fit for this concert,” said Mark Wilberg, director of the choir, in its announcement.

Jimmy Osmond, the youngest of the Osmond brothers, called the event, scheduled for July 25 and 26, a “great personal honor” for his family and a grand finale of their celebration of “50 years of entertainment.”

Officials anticipate high demand for the tickets, which will be distributed in a random selection process.
