Fifty-one members of the 111th Congress-that’s nine percent-are Jesuit college and university alumns, according to the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Eleven senators are Jesuit-educated, and 40 representatives. Georgetown University (my alma mater) leads the way with 18 graduates in the Capitol.
Most are Democrats, for those of you keeping score at home.
