The newly formed Anglican Church in North America, which aims to supercede the Episcopal Church as the rightful U.S. branch of the Anglican Communion, announced the line-up of keynoters for its June assembly.

They’ve invited an ecumenical group, I’ll give them that: There’s Rick Warren, California megachurch pastor and bestselling author; the newly installed Metropolitan Jonah (an erstwhile Episcopalian himself, now head of the Orthodox Church in America); and the Rev. Todd Hunter (an actual Anglican) a professor and director of church planting for the Anglican Mission in the Americas.

ACNA is expected to elect Bishop Bob Duncan as its archbishop and draw up some sort of constitution for its diverse group at the June 22-25 assembly in Bedford, Texas.
