    The monarch’s title of Supreme Governor of the Church of England as far as the Law of Christ Alloweth is constitutional and not personal. The Queen plays no part in the government of the CofE at all, except in her ceremonial but not actual appointment of bishops.

    In fact there is about as much enthusiasm in England for disestablishment as there is for a republic. I’m afraid this article is not made of whole cloth.
