(RNS) Few of us go to the extremes of building bombs or carrying assault rifles into schools. But the acid of isolation is still there, eating away at our social fabric.

  1. Yes, it’s an important point about how easily people get isolated in our society. And we know that the pain of chronic loneliness leads to withdrawal and anger. Helping people make connections.. church is one of the few places in our society where you can go on a weekly basis and talk to people without having made plans to be with them.

  2. thank you Sir. Having lived here 20 yrs and growing up in the Philippines. I can tell oddities between people in the US. Perhaps, fueled by competition or lack of loving support as a child in their homes, but it is sure feels isolating. Thank you for stepping forward. God is with you.
