WASHINGTON (RNS) Some have questioned the Catholic bishops’ involvement in the national debate over immigration, perhaps wanting the church to stay neutral. But if they did so, they’d be untrue to their roots.

  1. “…God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.” (Acts 10:34). We humans should show the same impartiality to our fellowman, no matter where we live.

    • Every nation has their own laws and judicial systems which vary greatly, but they are definitely inferior to God’s laws and principles found in his word, the Bible, which are most beneficial to us.

  2. how would one go about setting up a meeting with you to discuss a catholic paradigm for a pro active, non political alternative to what has been taking place regarding individuals who are not here legally?
