“On balance I consider these seven years to have been positive. Naturally there were problems, particularly in the last two years, they have made many accusations against me… A mix of crows and vipers.”

– Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican’s outgoing Secretary of State, on the problems that plagued Pope Benedict XVI’s papacy on his watch. He was quoted by The Telegraph.

  1. I think it would have been more diplomatic to replace the whole team of 5 , not only Traciso Bertone.

If he did not have all the info, because some prelates there hide them, it would have been very difficult to make the right decision.

If the other 4 in the team were so good, how come Tarcisio bertone was the only one so bad?

Something is not right there, I think.
