Should private business owners be excused, based on their deeply held religious beliefs, from providing insurance coverage for health benefits to which they have a moral objection? The Supreme Court will rule on this but meanwhile, activists groups have made up their minds.
They encouraged their supporters to tweet under pre-set hashtags in hopes their viewpoint will Twitterstorm social media.
The American Civil Liberties Union, NARAL, Planned Parenthood Action Fund and others claimed that whether a woman uses birth control and what method they choose is not for an employer to decide.
In opposition, the supporters of the evangelical family owners of Hobby Lobby and the Mennonite owners of Conestoga Wood Specialties say these families should not be forced by the government to act against their moral values in providing coverage for those forms of contraception they consider abortifacient.
