JERUSALEM (RNS) Israelis were moved when he kissed the hands of the Holocaust survivors. But some haven't shaken the memory of centuries of anti-Semitism sparked by the Roman Catholic Church.

  1. Michele, Thanks for this piece to recap of the Pope’s visit.

But how sad that grown ups can talk like this:
“there has been a revolution in the Christian world and that there is a pope who is such a good friend of the Jewish people, with friends who are rabbis.”

The Bible and The Q’uran are the unending problems, not the roulette wheel of who just happens to be in charge this year in Rome!

The Holy Texts assure us that Peace will never come from religion:

“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it…what constraint I am under…! Do you think I came to bring peace on Earth? No, I tell you, but estrangement.” – Jesus – (Luke 12:49-51)(NAV)

“A friend of the world, is an enemy of God.” (James 4:4)
SO…God loves climate change, over fishing and polluters?

“…The Prophet said, ‘If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.’ (Bukhari – 52:260)

Such primitive nonsense. And the Pope only argues for more respect for it!
