(1962) Large smiles cover the faces of President Kennedy and Maronite Patriarch Paul Pierre Meouchi after a conference at the White House. Paying a courtesy call on the President, the Patriarch was accompanied by Ambassador Ibrihim Al-Ahdib of Lebanon, and by a delegation of Maronite Rite clergy. He wore the colorful red vestments of his office as spiritual leader of the world's nearly 800,000 Maronite Rite Catholics.
