  1. one important aspect of the town dump you forgot. If you don’t manage it and don’t restrict the waste streams entering it (think borderless nations here) it becomes an unmanageable, environmental risk the society shuts down and caps. And then they find a new dumping ground.

    If we allow Congress to operate the country like the Staten Island Landfill, eventually we will all be surrounded by mountains of garbage looking for a place to ship the garbage we generate.
