Religion News Service is proud to partner with some of the nation’s leading media outlets. Since 2010, RNS has worked with the Washington-based Public Religion Research Institute to develop and syndicate monthly PRRI/RNS tracking polls on religion and American public life. Under our content-share agreements, RNS and its news partners agree to share religion stories and photos. To consider becoming an official news partner of Religion News Service, contact Editor-in-Chief Kevin Eckstrom.
Our Funding Partners
Religion News Service is a non-profit news service incorporated as Religion News LLC. Religion News LLC seeks grant funding and donations to support its reporting, similar to most other non-profit news organizations. Religion News has a strict conflict of interest policy for its board and strict guidelines to assure editorial independence from funders. At present, Religion News LLC is supported by two grants. In 2011, Religion News LLC received a significant three-year grant from The Lilly Endowment Inc. Also in 2011, RNS received a two-year grant to support part-time reporting on the freethought and atheist movement from the Stiefel Freethought Foundation. Neither funder has asked us to cover specific stories or sought a specific slant on any issue.
All news judgment and story execution remains the responsibility of Religion News Service’s staff of professional journalists, whose priority is accurate, balanced and fair coverage of faith and values. For questions or concerns, contact Publisher Debra Mason at 573-882-9257 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
