Thou shalt not kill*

The publisher of the anti-abortion newsletter that suspected murderer Scott Roeder subscribed to told the Des Moines Register on Tuesday that killing abortion doctors is biblically justified.

The publisher, Dave Leach of Des Moines, told the paper that did not condone the shooting death Sunday of Dr. George Tiller, but he wouldn't condemn it.

"Based on what I've seen so far, the biblical evidence is overwhelmingly supportive of anyone who would give up everything to save thousands from a violent death," he said.

The Register reports: "Many leaders of large anti-abortion groups have condemned the killing. But Leach has gained national attention for his statements about the justification of violence against abortion providers, including Tiller. He publishes Prayer and Action News, a newsletter and Web site that focus on stopping abortion.

Although he doesn't claim to have a large group of followers, Leach said he has met several people who took up arms against abortion providers. He said he met Roeder once 11 years ago.

`He seemed like a nice guy. Personable, good sense of humor,' Leach said."

So, what do you think, is there biblical evidence for murdering someone to potentially save others from death?
