Not so fast, Watchmen. Faith-based movie watchdog Movieguide has filed a complaint with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) for assigning the film an R rating. Movieguide founder Dr. Ted Baehr contends that the MPAA should have assigned the superhero flick an X or even an NC-17 rating instead.

Moneyquote: “This movie contains extreme violence, nudity, and sex, including rape. Throughout most of the whole picture, one male character walks around completely naked, with his private parts waving in the breeze,” said Baehr.

“Watchmen” follows a group of retired superheroes who try to solve the murder of one of their own and, in typical comicbook fashion, try to save the planet for utter anhilation by a madman. Movieguide has it’s film review here.
