Joshua DuBois, the executive director of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, has made at least two lists of note in recent days.

On Sunday, the Root, an online magazine focused on African-American perspectives, named him among 10 people in “Washington’s New Black Pack: Ten to Watch in Mr. Obama’s Washington.”

The list, which ran in Sunday’s Washington Post, included a quick profile of DuBois’ work on Obama’s campaign and subsequent appointment to the White House post.

“When he talked about worshipping an awesome God, I said, `Well, here’s a guy who gets it,”’ DuBois said of Obama’s 2004 Democratic Convention speech.

And, the Washingtonian placed DuBois in its March edition of “The Guest List,” described as “a monthly roundup of the eight people we’d most like to have over for drinks, good food, and conversation.”
