U.S. News and World Report’s Dan Gilgoff has reported on how former ”outcast” Jim Wallis is suddenly in demand amid the new Washington scene.

”Seemingly overnight, Wallis has gone from outside agitator, arrested 22 times for acts of civil disobedience, to inside player, talking with presidential aides a few times a week,” writes Gilgoff.

Wallis, the evangelical leader who runs the anti-poverty group Sojourners, told him: ”I’ve been 40 years in the wilderness, and now it’s time to come out. This is a new experience for me.”
