According to Jonathan Martin at Politico, President Obama is rebuilding bridges with the Muslim world in a way that would have probably gotten him into some politically deep water in his pre-election days.

Obama has resurrected his middle name, Hussein, while at the same time maintaining the serious threat Al-Qaeda poses to humanity in an address he recently gave in France.

In the president’s trip to Turkey, the prime minister thanked the president for coming to the country and referred to Obama as “the distinguished president of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama.” While in Turkey, Obama also held a town hall type meeting with in Turkey where he emphasized before a crowd of youths the need for “a dialogue that’s open, honest, vibrant and grounded in respect.”
