The Rev. Tullian Tchividjian, grandson of evangelist Billy Graham, will be up for a vote again this Sunday for the pastorate of prominent Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

He was elected in March to succeed the late Rev. D. James Kennedy, the founding pastor who died in 2007, but some dissidents who have been critical of his leadership pushed for a vote on whether or not the relationship with Tchividjian should be dissolved.

“The congregational meeting was requested by six Coral Ridge members who circulated a petition and obtained the requisite 100 signatures requiring church leaders to call a congregational meeting according to procedures set forth in the Presbyterian Church in America’s (PCA) Book of Church Order,” announced the DeMoss Group, an Atlanta public relations firm that is representing church officials, and not the dissenters.
