Sen. Harry Reid on why he and other Mormons are backing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, or ENDA, that would protect gays in the workplace. He was quoted in the New York Times.

    Harry Reid knows what some find objectionable within ENDA and he has not, as far as I can tell, permitted any change in language that addresses concervative concerns. Of course we know where liberals stand on cultural issues.
    A much different mix of attitudes is found in the House, and it is not likely that ENDA will even be brought up for a vote this session, certainly not without some changes.
